Go Frogs

Texas Christian University

Most TCU buildings use a golden brick blend called "TCU buff" with red tile roofs. Robert Carr Chapel broke the rule with salmon-colored brick, and alumni protested when it opened.

3 traditions to check off

Stamped! keeps these as a checklist, so you can tick each one off on the visit.

  • Lucky Horned Frog Statue

Students rub the nose of the welded Horned Frog statue by Seppo Aarnos, installed in 1984 between Sadler and Reed halls, for luck before tests. Give it a rub.

  • Frog Fountain

Seniors and their families take cap-and-gown photos at Frog Fountain, and fireworks light the sky over it when the Frogs score at home games. Take a photo at the fountain.

  • Carols by Candlelight

For more than 40 years, Carols by Candlelight has been held each December in Robert Carr Chapel. Visit the chapel during the holiday season.
